Snoot Game

I saw a bit of hype circling around this VN trough posts and fanart, so I decided to try it out to see if it lived up to the build-up.

And I can happily say that it absolutely lived up to the hype.

This VN made me laugh out loud and at the same time it tugged at my heartstings. The amount of detail that has gone into this "parody game" is truly staggering. I applaud you and the team for this quality shitpost.

If you all continue to make content, either through this VN or any other media, I will be ready to consume said content.

Damn, I saw this game streamed a bit from a friend on Discord and thought it was an elaborate shitpost, but regardless, I decided to try it myself.

I honest to god wasn't expecting to be this enraptured with a VN before, I'm not one for them usually, but the way you've written this and put it all together is simply incredible. Even if it is just an elaborate shitpost, it feels good enough to be a game worth talking about, and I truly feel you did wonders with this game. Thanks for making this, it's truly an amazing VN experience, dunno if you guys plan on doing anything else with this game in particular, but I'm definitely keeping an eye out.

Do you have a community some of us fans can enjoy or a server on discord we could join? It'd be great to have something like that so we can discuss the game, memes and art of it. Just a suggestion.

It's been a while, since a play this kind of game.
I laughed, I cringed, I worried, I cried with the characters, even Naomi. This game was so great on so many level.

if i could retry this game without any memory from it , I would play it again! Felt really lucky playing it.

I can't believe this came from a ragtag group of /v/irgins run by a furry scalie and a BR with 140 ping.

Seriously. It evoked real emotions from me, and made a better high-school simulator than a fatlus game. I'm too happy knowing this was more than your average everyday shitpost but an advanced shitpost where you actually sought to make an above-and-beyond enjoyable game for people.

Wow... I don't think I've been this sad to not be able to re-enjoy a game ever. Such a heartwarming experience and a heart crushing one at the same time. I sadly got ending 1 on my first run, and damn... kinda wish I was paying more attention. I played through ending 4 though, and it was truly a magical experience. Never has a VN ever made me invested as such.

I hope all of you who worked on this find a good outlet to put that talent into, because this shit slaps. If the game didn't end the way it did, I'd say to make a sequel, but it's beautiful on it's own

Now all it needs left is finished art and voice acting lol, though being completely honest, I'd absolutely love to see this game voice acted and once again beat GVH at something they promised. Keep up the good work, Cavemanon!!!!

This is probably the best vn I've ever played. It made me feel a lot of emotions, with being funny, to somewhat "wow that was really depressing". On my first playthrough I of course got ending 3, the "good" ending. But honestly it didn't feel like it was.

When I finished the 3rd ending, it felt wrong, not to misunderstand this. It was a cute ending, it just didn't feel right. The fact Fang leaves everything behind to be a new person is understandable, but after three years and she still hasn't improved mentally somewhat and ONLY talks to anon, just doesn't sit right. It definitely doesn't scream healthy, someone shouldn't be attached to someone that immensely.  I literally felt my heart sink when the credits rolled after that one last line, like damn it had me emotional but I wished that wasn't how it went (which isn't a bad thing).

That's why this game is so great to me. It made me want to play again and try and fix the mistakes I made in the first playthrough when getting the "good" end. It felt like I could do better, and when you get someone to feel that way, you know you did something right.  This game even got me excited a bit for the actual game coming soon. I praise the people who made this work of art. A funny, emotional, addicting ride for a vn game. (ps, loved the Spear cameo)

If you get ending three on your first playthrough and wish to remain a happy man you should stop there.

Easily, the BEST visual novel game I have ever played. The dialogue properly ranges from funny to excessively depressing, the characters (especially Fang) have very real feeling, 3d personalities. The artwork and game polish is consistent the entire way through, quality on par if not better than most for-money VNs on the market. Amazing game, looking forward to updates and maybe potential extra content!

I don't play a lot of VNs, but for what it's worth, this is among the best I've played. I was ready to write it off as a joke at first, which it kind of still is, but the story and characters are so much more, goes so much deeper, than "get the girl", I wholeheartedly recommend this.

That said there are some minor hickups here and there, glitchy animation, repeating messages, spelling errors, but nothing major.

I've been playing through this again and again for the past few days. I am absolutely in love this vn.

I also played around with the script and learned how to add a choice to not check Fangs phone. Leaving it alone even gives you +1 anonscore.

I also have an idea for an alternate ending for Route 2 that's sort of a reverse mirror to Route 3's ending. I posted the general idea in an older /snoot/ thread but I could post the prompt here or send it if you're interested.

Edit: The reason behind this being that I was using the debug counter, saw that I had 3 Anon points and 5 Fang points and it still gave ending 2. Anons 3 points were from waiting for Fang to finish venting, waiting for Fang with Naser and Naomi, and talkingto/waiting for Trish.

I feel like that Anon should be mature enough not to get too drunk and sperg out on the beach. I don't think he deserves ending 2 just because he joked about laughing at the concert and practices proper cable management.

I've started typing some out myself but I'm not really that good at writing.

An apology for such a long text.

I finally got the 4 endings, first of all thank you very much for making this beautiful game, when I saw the game I found the art interesting so I decided to give it a try, I never imagined that I would experience so many emotions.

My first ending was the third one, at the beginning I liked it but as I advanced to the end, it left me with a bittersweet taste as if I had forgotten something important.

I played again and ended up getting the third ending 2 more times, then I decided to take a completely different course, that way I got the first one, and as I progressed I saw a problem looming, near the end I knew I should change but it was too late, when I see the final msj, I knew it was over, but I did not imagine it would end in such a way.

I decided to pay more attention, and I ended up getting the fourth ending, I discovered that it was important that I did not take into account in the third ending, from a certain moment the way in which everything develops is like the day and night of the others, at the end the development of the characters although it felt like a big jump, I was satisfied with the way in which the protagonists end.

I already had 3 endings and seeing the pattern that was repeated, I knew that the second one would not be a sweet ending, but I never expected something like this.

Of the 4 endings the 2nd was the one that felt the most real to me, I literally fell apart seeing how the main characters end.

For those of you who decide to read this far, I recommend that you play the game first as my experience with it may end up being spoilers.

The last words that anon says to himself when he sees Fang again, were almost exactly the same words I said to myself years ago going through something similar, thinking that everything could be solved if only he would come closer and try to start everything from scratch, in a part of me I hoped he would talk to her but he didn't, that feeling of thinking that everything could be fixed but not having the courage to take the first step, I carried that feeling for years and by the time I decided to give myself the courage it was too late, I lost my lifelong friend, I can't help but feel that I abandoned him, now I will never see him again, if only I had approached him again maybe by having someone to look out for him, I would still have a friend to visit and not this grave, I write this with a lump in my throat.

Thank you again for this game, although it reminded me of the regret that I will never get over, I was also able to remember the good times.

This game has earned a place in my heart.

Honestly when the actual game comes out, I'm gonna view it as a fangame of snoot game lmao.

It has its funny moments; the writing is okay -not too edgy, not too safe-

The MC isn't good (his spongy personality and dialogues are hit or miss), the other characters are somewhat interesting.

OST is serviceable; it has FLCL vibes, which is good. The portraits/drawings are on the plus side.
